For Nurses From Tuesday 16th April 2019 Leith Hill Practice will offering nurse clinics outside the normal surgery times from 6.30-8.30pm.
Services on offer will include travel, asthma reviews, diabetic reviews, sexual health services, INR monitoring.
We hope this will meet the needs of our working patients who find it difficult to attend during normal opening hours
In addition to GP consultations the practice adheres to the General Medical Services Contract for the provision of healthcare services:
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines usually have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work. Appointments need to be booked over the phone or in person.
Some travel vaccinations are available on an NHS prescription and others only privately. At your initial appointment, we will advise you of what is appropriate, making clear any costs. Please click here for details of costs for vaccinations and anti-malarial medication not available on the NHS.
